My Story

Studying paramedicine in 2012 sparked my interest for the human body and movement. I made the move to personal training because it allows me to have a meaningful connection with others, to help and improve people's lives with a positive outlook. Aside from the physical aspect of training, a balanced nutrition and lifestyle is important to me.

When I was younger, I actually didn’t like exercise at all. I mean, I would go for a walk and adventure but by no means did I envision making a career of it, yet it’s the best decision I’ve ever made!

It’s had its ups and downs and gosh, has it challenged me, but I have the coolest clients who really make it all worth it. Being there for someone, really challenging and pushing someone, relieving pain and making a positive impact on someone’s health and life is pretty darn rewarding.

“I damaged my cruciate skiing a couple of years ago and found it very difficult to return to skiing. My knee was not strong and my confidence gone. I am not a gym bunny and found it challenging to put the right training and right amount of training in.

Abby was recommended to me and I decided to give it a go. This was a lot more fun in her new location at ONI. I really started to enjoy the training with her - especially as I started to feel a few small gains start happening (not necessarily at the time when I was pathetically trying to lift miniscule weights).

After 2 months of dedication and training regularly and honestly I went skiing again and was so delighted to find that with the strength and better muscle control my knee was totally stable and my confidence has totally recovered. I feel like I can ski again and the constant nagging issue of ‘careful of the knee’ is behind me now! Totally rate Abby and am now even considering boot camp!”
