My Story

Sports and fitness never took priority in my early life. As a recreational and social athlete, fitness was a word without meaning, health was what your gaming character needed to fight monsters. Eventually I found my way to Thai boxing, arnis, rock climbing, cycling, running, lifting weights, and of course kettlebells.

The journey gave me the tools I needed to build my self-image, physical and mental health, and gave me the desire and knowledge to help others.  A career in education burnt me out. I realised I loved educating, though I had had enough of the classroom. After returning to NZ from the UK I retrained as a personal trainer, met Laurent and found ONI. 

When you work with me, you are my sole focus. We will forge a way to get you from where you are now to your goals. The benefits of health and fitness spill over to the other parts of your life, in ways we often don't expect. For me, the best part of this job is seeing a client succeed, both in the gym and outside of it.
