Not Feeling As Strong As You Want to be?

Real world strength is hard to train for in a traditional gym. Think about moving furniture, carrying your partner around, throwing your kids in the air, or even doing gardening moving sacks of soil. You’re going to be in awkward and uneven positions, often lifting and moving oddly shaped objects. Most people never get the chance to develop this strength, but it’s so important to (and even more important to train it safely).

Our Wellington strongman classes make this training safe, smart, and effective; helping you develop functional strength and fitness that you can take into any aspect of your life. Be warned though, you will become all of your friends’ go-to person to help them move things.

Plus, with class sizes capped at 8, you’ll get personalised attention to ensure you’re progressing safely and effectively.

Strengthen your back and core

Strongman training challenges your entire trunk with carries, loads, and lifts that train you to brace properly under awkward objects. The result is a strong back and a resilient core that supports heavy lifting and every movement. You’ll never have to ask for help moving furniture again.

Improve muscular endurance & Cardio

Events like sled drags, loaded carries, and repeated lifts train your body to work hard for longer. Strongman builds the ability to sustain strength under fatigue, improving overall work capacity and even cardiovascular fitness so you feel tougher, more resilient, and more capable across all kinds of physical tasks. Not to mention increasing your mental grit and fortitude that comes with this sort of training.

Increase Grip STrength

Farmers carries, sandbags, and other strongman implements train your hands, forearms, and grip in ways traditional training rarely does. Over time, you’ll develop serious grip strength, helping with overall performance, injury resilience, and confidence handling heavy, awkward loads.

Real World Strength

Traditional gym training doesn’t always prepare you for the same strength that life demands.

Real world lifting is awkward and uneven: moving furniture, carrying kids, hauling suitcases, or even shifting soil bags. Strongman builds the bracing, stability, and confidence to handle odd objects safely, so you feel capable outside the gym too.
