Foot Camp Recap – Building Strong Foundations from the Ground Up

Wellington Foot Workshop Recap

It was awesome to see everyone at our Foot Camp workshop over the weekend! We had a full house and a ton of engagement in the room. Huge thanks to everyone who showed up, got involved, asked great questions, and got hands on with their own foot health and mobility.

What We Covered:

Across the two hour session, we explored both the theory and practice of building strong and supple feet and ankles. Here's a quick rundown of what we covered:

  • Common foot and ankle issues like plantar fasciitis, bunions, Achilles tendonitis, foot cramps, and shin splints — and the why behind them

  • Foot and gait biomechanics — how your posture, footwear, and movement habits affect performance (and pain)

  • Myofascial release techniques for feet, calves, and ankles — using hands-on tools to reduce tension and improve mobility

  • Targeted strength and mobility drills to activate foot muscles, restore range, and build a more stable base

  • Balance and proprioception work to improve control, awareness, and long-term movement quality

Why This Matters:

Most of us are never really taught how to look after our feet — even though they’re the foundation of almost every movement we make. From walking to lifting to running, everything starts from the ground up.

This workshop was about more than just addressing pain — it was about education, awareness, and giving you the tools to move with confidence.
