ONI Strength Club: Deadlift Workshops Were a Hit!

Wellington Deadlift Workshops Were a Hit!
A couple weekends ago, head coach Adam ran two back-to-back strength workshops diving deep into deadlift technique; blending anatomy, biomechanics, and practical coaching.
Across both sessions, attendees explored how hip, spine, and posterior chain mechanics influence safe and effective pulling. Topics covered included:
Deadlift anatomy and biomechanics
Bracing, breathing, and spinal positioning
Cues to improve performance
Live technical feedback and coaching
Whether training for general strength or powerlifting, lifters left with actionable insights and a better understanding of how small technical tweaks can lead to big gains.
At ONI, workshops like these are a core part of our approach; combining science based education with hands on coaching to help lifters of all levels build confidence, avoid injury, and keep progressing.
Next Up: Anatomy of the Bench Press (12th July, 10:00am)
Following the success of our deadlift sessions, our next 2-hour workshop will focus on breaking down the anatomy and biomechanics of the bench press; giving you the tools to press more efficiently, safely, and with greater control.
What we’ll cover:
Biomechanics & anatomy of the bench press
Common technique errors: why they happen and how to fix them
Accessory lifts and variations to strengthen weak points
Set up fundamentals to generate ful body tension, stability, and leg drive
The first hour includes theory, live demos, and practical drills. The second hour is all about applying what you’ve learned with expert coaching and feedback.
Spaces are very limited, so if improving your bench press is a priority, secure your spot now.
We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
